Golf and Tennis
Sporting two of México's top 10 golf courses compared to the Baja's one, Manzanillo is becoming the spot for México's growing resort golfing travel. If tennis is more your sport, enjoy playing on beautiful courts surrounded by lush tropical greenery.
Horseback riding
Up and down Manzanillo's expansive coast line are spots to enjoy the sun and surf from horseback.
Pena Blanca
This unpopulated beach offers ATV and Jeep tours. The beach is named for a large rock pinnacle that you can see from the beach. Please note that during various times of the year, the beach is closed to protect the time sea turtles are laying their eggs.
Playa de Oro
This unknown beach boasts pristine beauty and an interesting history. In 1862 the "Golden Gate" paddle ship went down just off shore, along with it's cargo of $1,400,000's worth of gold coin. Much of the gold was recovered in 1864 and the 1960s, however, locals talk of the occasional coin that washes up on shore. Not recommended for swimming it offers great beachcombing and walking as well as nude sunbathing.
Night Life
With Manzanillo's quite and tranquil nature you would think that nightlife is one thing you would not find here, you would be wrong. After dark the lights come up and the city comes alive. Choose from traditional mariachi's or go where the locals go and visit a "botanero" an experience unique to the state of Colima, remember these are generally for adults. Disco's also abound keep in mind that arriving to a nightclub or disco before 11pm isn't worth it, save your energy considering most visitors don't start going home until 5 and 7am.
